Audio interview: James McAvoy on Filth

For the latest Irvine Welsh adaptation, Filth, actor James McAvoy takes on the demanding role of Edinburgh copper, Bruce Robertson, a man whose life is falling apart around him as Christmas approaches.

Just ahead of the film’s release in Scottish cinemas, where it topped the box office on its opening weekend, McAvoy spoke to ReelScotland about how he got the role, Filth’s complex shoot around Europe and his feelings on the ending.

Please note that the interview does contain spoilers for the film’s ending (and some bad language) at around the five minute mark.
