Scotland Loves Animation
Scotland Loves Animation, the organisation which promotes animation worldwide, is bringing a selection of films to two Scotland Loves Anime weekends this October. Anime fan Shell Bryson previews the films and lists his top five screeenings.
One of the world’s leading silent film accompanists, Neil Brand, returns to Scotland for two special performances this month: Buster Keaton’s 1923 film, Our Hospitality, at Edinburgh’s Cameo Cinema on 19 August and 1929’s Man With a Movie Camera at Glasgow’s GFT on 20 August.
Following successful screenings of a number of Scottish films at the 2010 Glasgow Film Festival as part of the Great Scots strand, August sees them go on tour around Scotland, giving more audiences a chance to savour some homegrown talent.
