Shot on location in Glasgow and starring Romy Schneider and Harvey Keitel, Bertrand Tavernier’s 1980 thriller, Death Watch, finally comes to DVD and Blu-ray on 5 November.
Keitel stars as Roddy, a cameraman whose camera is implanted in his brain. Roddy is hired by a ruthless television producer (Harry Dean Stanton) to film a documentary of terminally ill Katherine (Romy Schneider), without her knowledge. His footage will then be run on the popular TV series, Death Watch. Robbie Coltrane co-stars in his first film role.
The film received a cinema re-release earlier in 2012 from Glasgow-based distributor Park Circus Films and the home video version will contain new content, including an interview with Bertrand Tavernier, production stills and more.
