Gregory’s Girl scores a Blu-ray release

Just a few month after the announcement that Bill Forsyth’s debut feature, That Sinking Feeling (1979), is coming to DVD and Blu-ray, it has been revealed that his follow-up, 1981’s Gregory’s Girl, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on 5 May, 2014.

John Gordon Sinclair stars as teenager Gregory Underwood, who loses his place as striker in the school’s shambolic football team but soon finds comfort with the arrival of new star signing, Dorothy (Dee Hepburn).

This new release features exclusive bonus features:

  • Audio commentary with Bill Forsyth and Mark Kermode
  • Bill Forsyth – The Early Years – An interview with the director
  • Gregory’s Girl Memories – An interview with Clare Grogan
  • Alternative US audio soundtrack

The DVD and Blu-ray editions are now available to pre-order from Amazon.
