The best queer cinema and media from around the world is heading to Glasgow as the Scottish Queer International Film Festival (SQIFF) returns to the city between 29 September and 2 October.

Films and events include a queer horror retrospective, showcases of the best international and Scottish LGBTQ+ short films and web series, the premiere of a new film looking at Madonna’s backing dancers and the return of Feminist Porn Night.

Venues including the CCA, GFT, Glasgow Women’s Library and The Art School will host films from around the globe, including New Zealand, the Philippines and Germany.

The festival will open with a screening of Strike A Pose, an look at the men that helped support the career of one of the world’s most beloved and controversial artists, Madonna, on her seminal Blond Ambition tour.
